Cindy Nash
Chief Executive Officer
Before her CEO role, Cindy served as AFIMAC’s Chief Operating Officer. Her broader career includes executive leadership roles at Brink’s Home Security, where she held both the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer positions. She also held senior executive roles at Windstream Communications, including Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Customer Service.
Cindy’s background spans technology, operations, and corporate strategy, with deep expertise in P&L management, M&A integration, and digital transformation. Throughout her career, she has led and integrated more than 30 acquisitions.
Earlier in her career, she served as Chief Information Officer for VALOR Telecom and held executive roles at CenturyLink (now Lumen), including Vice President of Information Systems. Cindy holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Northeast Louisiana University.
David Brainard
Chief Financial Officer
As a senior financial executive and CPA with 40 years of experience, Dave has been successful throughout his career by fine-tuning and optimizing financial and operational functions for businesses, improving profitability, and providing accurate and informative reports that predict and forecast market conditions.
Mr. Brainard’s specialties include working capital management, financial modeling, reporting, planning and analysis, mergers, acquisitions, investor relations, and strategic planning. His knowledge in finance, along with a detail-orientated approach, stands as a great fit for AFIMAC, helping the company pivot, plan for, and address market conditions in the most optimal way possible.
Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and economics from the University of Indianapolis.
Eric Miller
Chief Revenue Officer
Eric brings a proven track record of building scalable service models, nurturing long-term client partnerships, and leading high-performing teams in both Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial environments. Prior to joining AFIMAC, Eric held senior leadership positions at industry-leading firms including ISS Facility Services, JLL, Pristine Environments, and Cushman & Wakefield, where he consistently drove strategic growth and operational excellence.
His leadership style is collaborative, outcome-focused, and rooted in authenticity. He is passionate about empowering teams, mentoring future leaders, and delivering solutions that solve urgent challenges for clients in manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics sectors.
Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and English from the University of Vermont, and is a proud member of Phi Gamma Delta. He is based in the U.S. and works closely with teams across AFIMAC’s global footprint.
Ruben E. Mena
LATAM/South America Outside Consultant
Ruben’s special expertise includes intricate knowledge of Latin America which he acquired while directing inter-police agency training exercises on behalf of the Miami P.D. Besides his excellent police and private security contacts throughout Latin American, Ruben has developed and directed comprehensive security and training programs for U.S. multi-national Fortune 500 corporations in the U.S. and throughout Latin America. He is an accomplished instructor in evasive driving, firearms, and executive protection operations.
Ruben is an expert in conducting detailed vulnerability assessments and developing crisis management plans for high-profile events. He has an extensive background in planning for the prevention of terrorist acts, including those involving weapons of mass destruction.
Ruben Mena is a graduate of LaSalle University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Management. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. As well as being a member of the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) and American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), he is also certified in Homeland Security and a board Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
Agnaldo de Oliveira
VP of Operations, Brazil
Mr. de Oliveira is proficient in conducting facility and residential security surveys, as well as detailed vulnerability assessments and developing crisis management plans for high profile events. Agnaldo has an extensive background in executive protection for multi-national clients and high profile individuals. He is also an expert in vehicle armoring and a seasoned Evasive-Defensive Driving Instructor having personally conducted many successful training schools both nationally and internationally, by using hard and soft skills and general knowledge to achieve an excellent standard professional on his team.
Through the years he Implemented the Canine Explosive Detection services (k-9) in the most important Intl airports in Brazil. He is also knowledgeable in explosives like TNT, C-4, Dynamite, Ammonium Nitrate, Water-Gel / Tovex, Semtex (RDX & PETN), Detonation Rope (Wick), Black Gunpowder & Gunpowder, Potassium Chloride and Sodium Chloride.
Beyond that, Agnaldo de Oliveira implemented the services of Surveillance and physical security by aiming to respond residential and commercial condominiums needs for a higher standard of security.
Agnaldo has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Sao Paulo (UNIP) in Security Management and he concluded an MBA in Strategic Management of Services, by the FGV teaching institution. Agnaldo has concluded the course of Management Essentials from Harvard Business School Online which presented state-of-the-art strategies for shaping and influencing managerial processes with a particular focus on decision-making, implementation, learning and change within organizations. As a member of the OSAC Latin America Group and the American Society for Industrial Security, he contributes for the Brazilian and the continent security in general.
